I M P O R T A N T   N O T I C E

MESMERIZE - 2022

Dear all parents/ guardians,

We delightfully bring this to your kind attention that the 19^th MESMERIZE (Annual Cultural Programme) of all the Institutions under Oriental Association for Education and Research (The Mother Society) is going to be celebrated by all the students from 22^nd to 24^th December 2022. The programme of Burdwan Model School has been scheduled on 23^rd & 24^th December, 2022.

Hence, both the normal academic and co-curricular activities of the School and Day-Boarding Session will remain suspended during those days. (22nd till 24^th December, ’22).

The schedule of the Programme are as follows:-

• The concerned participants of the Programme for both the days (23rd & 24th December 2022) must arrive at 11.15 a.m. and non-participants also may come in the same time, in proper school uniform and carrying their Identity cards. Transport services will be provided only to the concerned students who avail it.
• The starting time of the programme for both the days will remain same i.e. at 3:00 p.m.
• Adequate tiffin will be provided to every Participant and Volunteers only.
• In case of the non-participating students arriving within 11:15 a.m., tiffin will also be provided to those who avail this facility. Such students also may bring additional tiffin from their home.
• The participating students from Playgroup - Class II would be handed over to their concerned parents/guardians only after the completion of their respective programmes, but in any case they will not be handed over before 6:30 p.m. Therefore, guardians are requested to bring your Parents' Card to collect their ward/wards.
• All the buses will depart from the school only after the completion of the entire programme at about 9:15 p.m. The departure time of the buses may be delayed for another 15 minutes.
• Only those students who arrive in the school within 11.30 a.m., will be accommodated inside the Students' Zone and the responsibility of such students will only be taken by the School Authority. However, the guardians of the students who will be arriving after 11:30 a.m. are requested to take care of their ward/ wards.

Your kind co-operation to the above mentioned points will help us to conduct the programme with safety and security.

All the Concerned Parents/Guardians from VII to XII

You all may be aware that Panagarh Army Base Camp was one of our venues as included within the annual excursion for the students of class VII to XII on 17th December'22 (Saturday).  In this regard, We regret to inform you that due to sudden security reasons the army camp authority has rejected the permission for the said purpose.

Hence, we have decided to take our students for visiting Biswabharati University campus, Shantiniketan

and lastly to wood Fossil Park, Bolpur on 17th December'22 (Saturday). Students’ timing will remain the same i.e. from 8.20 am to 7.30 pm. Class VII to XII will remain suspended on that day as notified earlier.

Dear all concerned Parents/Guardians,

As you may aware that the school has already declared the schedule for Diwali & Chhat Puja Vacation which is from 24^th October 2022 to 30^th October 2022. Now the Government of West Bengal has recently declared a special holiday for Chhat Puja on 31^st October 2022.

Therefore, the school along with Boarding and Day- Boarding will reopen on 1^st November 2022 (Tuesday) instead of 31^st October 2022 with its winter timings i.e. 8.20 A.M. to 12.00 NOON for Playgroup to Kindergarten (PG-KG) and 8.20 A.M. to 1.35 P.M. for Class I to Class XII.

With regret, this is to inform you all that yesterday i.e., on 17^th October, 2022, one of our children of class IV (Section – OAK) namely SK MONTASHIR passed away in a road accident while coming to school with his father riding on a motorcycle.

Let all of us pray to the Almighty to keep this little soul in peace and also give strength to his parents to face this tremendous shock.

In this regard, the management has decided to close the school on 19^th October, 2022 (Wednesday).

Day- Boarding session will remain open with a special schedule from 9.30 AM to 6.20 PM.

Dear Parents/ Guardians,
You may be aware that visiting to different important places is always beneficial to teaching-learning process. Keeping this concept in mind, it has been decided that the students of Class XI & XII (Science) will be taken to some places (nearby Kolkata) relating to their curriculum on 22nd October'22 (Saturday).
The cost of this educational tour has been assessed @Rs.1,200/- per students towards the transportation, fooding, entry fees and other miscellaneous expenses.
In this regard, the Management has decided to contribute @50% of the total cost, therefore, the guardian should deposit Rs.600/- for her/his ward.
In this connection, we are providing a prescribed proforma for your necessary consent to enable us to conduct the tour in a smooth manner. It is also to be noted that the aforesaid amount (Rs.600/-) should be deposited to our school cash section within 20th October, 2022 (Thursday) failing which will lead to cancellation of your ward’s participation from the tour.
Participation is not mandatory but as it is a part of the curriculum, so whole hearted participation is expected.
You are requested to fill up the google form and submit as a consent for your ward .
Please deposit the aforesaid amount (Rs.600/-) to our school cash section within 20th October, 2022 (Thursday).
Guardian may also avail the offline facility for submitting the form at  our school cash section within this period.
